Introspective #6 – You Are Better Than You Think

Welcome to Introspective #6, featuring a YouTube Video by Adam Karnacz, First Man Photography, about The difficulties of being a Creative. I Hope you also find his video a worth while listen.

We continuously question the level of our own photography, recognizing it’s difficult to continuously create amazing images. Being a creative is hard work, continuously going out and working hard to increase our chances of capturing those special moments. Take some wisdom from Ansel Adams, where twelve (12) good/great images in one year is a gauge that we can measure ourselves by. The perception of our own work is not accurate especially when comparing ourselves to others. Take the time to review your last years body of work comparing it to your previous year to reset the perception of how far you have grown, and you’ll realize that you are better than you think you are. Don’t let negative emotions overwhelm your mental state; limit your time on social media, stop comparing yourself to others, stay positive, continue getting out to shoot, and put in your best effort. The excitement of the next amazing moment to capture/create that great image is right around the corner.

I have been following First Man Photography’s YouTube Channel for many years now and find his content refreshing and uplifting, I hope you do as well.
